Description

This selection paints a broader picture of the motivations behind the Touliatos divorce, and gives some insight into details of the trial. It focuses on the charges Barbara had brought to light, as well as the reception she received from the court for her claims. In this piece, Barbara mainly brings up professional disputes that had cropped up from time to time over the course of their marriage. She also brings the subject of physical abuse--in the form of George Touliatos pursuing a stage act of mild violence too zealously--to light. Notably, all of these incidents of marital dysfunction are closely tied with the Front Street Theatre itself, highlighting how important it was to the Touliatos' lives.
