Metz’s letter to Margaret explained how he first believed that she and Bob would last, but that maybe her heartache and hurt happened for a better reason. He told how, for as young as she is, she is at a good place in her life that he wish he were at as well and that he is pleased to have met such good people as her and her mom. Lastly, he explained how his daughter would soon be living where she lived and that he hoped she wouldn’t live as cold and lonely as Margaret did.
