Description

Rita Wilson graces her audience with a gentle smile as Mary Shelton puts the finishing touches on her coiffure. Wilson was cast in the role of Gypsy Rose in the Front Street Theatre's production of “Gypsy,” while Shelton played her mother, Mama Rose. This was the beginning of a promising acting career. Though Rita was also interested in optometry, she ended up staying the course on stage, and later became an accomplished public speaker.
