Description

This article is about the protest leader, Mrs. Cornelia Crenshaw, being arrested for her sit in. She had been protesting the additional fees that had been added to the garbage and sewage. The charges in which she was arrested were disorderly conduct, which came about because she refused to leave the lobby of MLG&W headquarters. After an hour of trying to talk her into leaving on her own free will, a warrant was issued and police were sent to arrest and remove Mrs. Crenshaw from the premises. The protestors that were with her in the lobby, left when order by police but spent almost an hour outside the police station where Mrs. Crenshaw was taken singing in protest.
